By The Sedoric Group

Partner and Executive Managing Director Tom Sedoric, who has been providing advice to successful families and individuals since 1984, is passionate about what he does. You can often find him in his home office surrounded by inspirational artifacts from his career.

This passion pays off as well; he was named to the 2022 Forbes/SHOOK Best-In-State Top Wealth Advisor List, an accolade he’s earned in prior years as well.

However, he said this recognition would not have been possible without the support of his incredible team. Though he’s named as the recipient, he sees this as a shared honor for everyone at The Sedoric Group.

One of his mentors, Rohe Pennington, had a simple but powerful motto that he’s carried with him through his leadership role: "Hire good people, give them the tools they need to succeed, and get out of the way.”

"The incredible work that the team has done to meet the unique goals of the clients they serve is what sets The Sedoric Group apart from others in the nation," Tom said. "Their backgrounds allow them to bring fresh, creative ideas when it comes to planning, setting, and meeting their client’s saving and investing goals."

“They’re the ones who made this team so much better,” he said. “I’m passionate about what I do, but I wouldn’t be anywhere without them. I trust them implicitly.”

On top of that, he’s continued to learn from his team and, as a result, stay on top of industry trends.

“That’s all the better for the client,” he said.

The Forbes ranking of Best-In-State Wealth Advisors, developed by SHOOK Research, is based on an algorithm of qualitative criteria, mostly gained through telephone and in-person due diligence interviews, and quantitative data. Those advisors that are considered have a minimum of seven years of experience, and the algorithm weights factors like revenue trends, assets under management, compliance records, industry experience, and those that encompass best practices in their practices and approach to working with clients. Portfolio performance is not a criteria due to varying client objectives and lack of audited data. Out of approximately 34,925 nominations, more than 6,550 advisors received the award.

More information about the award can be found online here.
